The Thai Football League, known as Thai League 1, is the top tier of the Thai football league system

The Thai League 1 consists of 16 teams, with each team playing a total of 30 matches over the course of a full season.

The Thai football season normally runs from February to October.

The most successful team in Thai League 1 History is Buriram United, who have 8 titles, followed by Muangthong United, who have won the league six times.

Other notable teams include Buriram United, Chonburi FC, and Bangkok United.

In addition to the Thai League 1, there are also lower divisions in the Thai football league system, including the Thai League 2 and the Thai League 3.

Thailand's national football team has also experienced some success in recent years, including winning the AFF Championship (ASEAN Football Federation Championship) in 2014 and reaching the final of the same tournament in 2018.
